Aston Martin Sold… Finally

After several tosses and turns, finally, Ford’s Aston Martin luxury brand gets its new parent and guardian. A group of investors and David Richards plus two more Kuwait banks now own the luxury brand. Richards is the CEO of the racing group Provide as well as the Chairman of Aston Martin Racing.
However, the new owners of the car made famous by the spy action hero James Bond will still give 15% of the whole stake to Ford as mentioned in the contact of sale. This was as advised by the former Merrill Lynch analyst John Casesa and investment bankers Jefferies & Company. The deal was announced last Monday in Gaydon, United Kingdom.
In the news, Dr. Ulrich Bez will be staying with the Aston Martin as together they will produce a program that will bring a roadster version of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage to the car market and a four-door Rapide sooner.
David Richards said, “This is an incredible opportunity - Aston Martin is one of the world's most iconic brands. We are confident we now have all the right ingredients to take Aston Martin to even greater heights."
However, with the new owners, Aston Martin will still be produced on its home plant Gaydon headquarters. Plus the same quality of Ford parts will still be found in the production.
